Essie Braziliant Summer 2011 Collection

Just few days left before Essie unveils its Braziliant Summer Collection for 2011 and I am sweating in my palms! I just can’t wait to get my hands on it! Well, honestly, I had a chance to try out the shades. My friend David owns a store and invited me for a tester-ride. It was like picking from a buffet of deliciously hot, tangy and mouthwatering shades!

Though the Essie Braziliant Summer Collection 2011 has a limited palate- there are only six shades - and I wish there were more, the collection brings ashore some really delightful colors.

The one that got me hooked was, Meet Me at Sunset. A dull version of the bright and adventurous Braziliant, it reminded me of a lazy Sunday evening on the beach. Much as I missed a Sea Green in the pack, I have to admit that the Absolutely Shoreis no less a steal! The color is mysteriously sandy and catty in a subtler way. In two coats, it comes out exactly how it looks in the bottle.

And while I’m at it, let me add, I am regular in using MACs, Revlons and OPIs as well, but Essie is dependable in finish and consistency. Essie colors look so cute on my nails, I keep counting the compliments! I also don’t have to worry about my nails yellowing.

In this collection, Essie has kept the party going with the pinks and reds. The Super Bossa Nova looks smooth and classy. Great for a backyard summer party. But if you are planning to go beach hopping, try the Smooth Sailing. It’s not even close to the sea blue, but the color is warm and spirited.
